Kristin Funk-Maguire recently joined the Bison athletic training staff as an outsourced athletic trainer through Geisinger Sports Medicine.
Funk-Maguire earned her bachelor's degree from East Stroudsburg in 2003 and followed that two years later with a master's degree in exercise science, also from East Stroudsburg. While pursuing her master's degree, Funk-Maguire served as an assistant athletic trainer at East Stroudsburg High School South.
From 2005 to 2010, Funk-Maguire was the head athletic trainer at Pennridge High School in Perkasie, Pa. She was responsible for game and practice coverage for more than 25 varsity, junior varsity and freshman sports.
Funk-Maguire has also been the head athletic trainer for the annual Pennridge Ram Wrestling Club Tournament for the past five years and she worked as an anatomy and physiology lab instructor at the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology for the past four years. Recently, she signed on as a health sciences resource specialist at Middle Bucks.
