Bucknell Dedicates Memorial Plaza Between Baseball and Softball Fields

 LEWISBURG, Pa. - The plaza between Bucknell's Depew Field and the Varsity Softball Field was dedicated this past weekend in memory of Colin Marren, Bucknell Class of 2010. Marren passed away in 2007, at the start of his sophomore year at Bucknell. The Bucknell baseball and softball teams, President John Bravman and Director of Athletics and Recreation John Hardt were among the nearly 100 attendees at the dedication ceremony. The Memorial Plaza serves as the gateway to the baseball and softball fields, which have both recently received new playing surfaces, new brick dugouts, state-of-the-art scoreboards and additional facility enhancements.
The Memorial Plaza was made possible because of a gift from Marren's aunt and uncle, Caroline and David Marren, both members of Bucknell's Class of 1983. David Marren was a member of the Bison baseball team during his time at Bucknell.
