Bucknell Women's Rowing Caps Weekend with Solid Performances Against Nationally Ranked Michigan State and Wisconsin

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Griggs Reservoir) – The Bucknell women’s rowing team wrapped up its busy weekend on Sunday as it faced No. 5 Michigan State, the third top-10 foe the Bison faced in a span of just over 24 hours. Bucknell’s novice eight posted a victory for the second consecutive day. The Bison lightweight eight also raced Wisconsin, the No. 1 lightweight crew. Bucknell’s lightweight eight took third to a pair of Badger boats. The Bucknell novice eight race kicked off competition against Michigan State with a victory. It marked the second consecutive win for the Bison novice eight, which defeated Ohio State Saturday afternoon. Michigan State won the final three races, sweeping the varsity four, second varsity eight and varsity eight. On Saturday, Bucknell rowed against No. 4 Michigan and No. 8 Ohio State, making it three ranked opponents for the Bison this weekend. Bucknell will be back in action next Sunday, April 26, when it competes in the Patriot League Championships. The Bison will be going for their fourth consecutive title.
