Previous Installments of Bucknell Women's Rowing Coach's Corner

We returned from our winter training camp this past Sunday. I'll tell you what I tell everyone who asks me about it... "It went so well that we came back a day early." Simply put, the team did a great job staying focused and making the most of the trip. If you read their journal entries on the website you will get a feel for the rigors they endured and conquered. With 36 hours to go, the coaching staff realized the team had accomplished what we set out to accomplish, so we called the bus company and off we went.

The team has now reset its sights on the first four weeks of this spring semester. Academically, the team is pushing to get a head start on maintaining and improving upon its 3.47 gpa from the fall. Athletically, we are slowly redefining what it means to be a member of Bucknell University Women's Rowing. Specifically, we are working to create an ambitious and inspiring balance between academics and athletics. And, as part of this process, we look to actively find ways to positively impact those around us.

We are now back on the ergs and in the weight room. The Web site, photo galleries and team journals are all great ways to follow us as we embark on the spring championship season. Otherwise, we hope to see you at the races. Thanks for reading.
