LEWISBURG, Pa. -
The Bucknell women's rowing team had a league-high 34 student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, announced recently by the league office.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's six winter or 10 spring championship sports.
Highlighting Bucknell's honorees were Chrissy Friedlander (River Edge, N.J./River Dell) and Laura Roberts (Canonsburg, Pa./Peters Township), who both achieved 4.0 GPAs. There were just six women's rowing student-athletes in the Patriot League that earned 4.0 GPAs. Friedlander is majoring in English/creative writing, while Roberts graduated in May with a mechanical engineering degree.
Elsewhere around the league, Holy Cross had 26 people recognized, Colgate 18, Navy 12 and Lehigh seven.
