After a successful four-year career as a Bison pitcher in which he accumulated a 12-10 record with a 5.59 ERA, R.J. Grant was hired as the Bison's newest assistant coach. Grant will serve as the Bison's pitching coach.

Grant served as captain his senior year, a season that saw him win five games and lose three with a 4.75 ERA, his best season of the four. His sophomore season was also of note, as he went 3-1 with a 5.63 ERA. For his career, Grant started 21 games and appeared in another 16.

The summer following his senior season, Grant played professional baseball for the Selma Cloverleafs of the independent Southeastern League. While in college, Grant served internships in the fields of marketing and advertising in addition to enhancing his baseball skills.

A native of Ardsley, N.Y., Grant currently resides in Lewisburg.
