  • 2001 Baseball Regional Information

    LEWISBURG, Pa. --- The Bucknell baseball team, 2001 Patriot League champions, will travel to Coral Gables, Florida, to take on the University of Miami in the NCAA Regionals. The field of 64 was announced earlier today live on ESPN.

    The Bison (31-17, 14-6 Patriot League) will face Miami (44-12), the No. 2 seed in the overall tournament and the No. 1 team in the nation in the latest poll released by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, in their first NCAA tournament game since the 1996 season. Florida (34-25) will be the No. 2 seed in the regional and will face No. 3 Stetson (41-15).

    Bucknell's first game will be on Friday, May 25, at 7:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased by calling the University of Miami ticket office at 1-800 GO CANES or (305) 284-2267.
