Don Friday is in his ninth season on the Bison basketball staff, and his 13th overall with head coach Pat Flannery. He joined the program in 1994, coming to Bucknell after serving as an assistant coach on Flannery’s national championship team at Lebanon Valley.

The longest-tenured assistant coach in the Patriot League, Friday works primarily with the Bison defense and the frontcourt positions. He serves as recruiting coordinator and directs the team’s strength and coordinates Bucknell’s conditioning program with strength coach Jerry Shreck. Additional responsibilities include editing Full Court Press, the official newsletter for friends of Bucknell Basketball, and coordinating the team’s youth programs.

A 1990 Lebanon Valley graduate, Friday served as an assistant coach at his alma mater from 1990-94. He earned a bachelor of science degree in management in 1990 and received an MBA degree from Lebanon Valley in 1993.

A native of St. Clair, Pa., Friday also helps coordinate alumni relations.

Friday is married to the former Amy Keitsock, and they are the proud parents of a three-year-old son, Donald Lewis. The Friday family resides in nearby Mifflinburg, Pa.
