Box Score

Lewisburg, Pa. - The Bucknell men's basketball team (4-3) outscored the Rider Broncs (3-3) 40-26 in the second period after being tied at halftime to win the contest, 64-50. The Bison were led by a balanced scoring attack, with a total of three players finishing with double figure point totals. Sophomore Boakai Lalugba (East Orange, N.J./Bishop Francis Essex Catholic) led the Bison with 15 points and nine rebounds in the contest.

Bucknell came out in the second half and quickly built an 11-point lead by going on a 15-4 run in the first seven minutes. Senior Jake Ramage (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) sparked the run by knocking down a three pointer seven seconds into the period. Ramage would finish the contest with 14 points. Also chipping in with three buckets during the run was junior Bryan Bailey (Hempstead, N.Y./South Side), the third Bison player to finish the contest in double figures with 12 points.

The Broncs were able to get the game as close as eight points, 44-36, when Mario Porter drained a trifecta with 10:51 left in the contest. Porter would end the contest as the leading scorer for Rider with 16 points. However, this turned out to be the Broncs last breath as the Bison extended the lead back to 15 points in the final five minutes.

Providing a punch for the Orange and Blue off the bench was sophomore Jordan Hardenbergh (Herndon, Va./Bishop Ireton). Hardenbergh finished the contest with career-highs in both points with eight and rebounds with nine. Five of the caroms that he collected were on the offensive end of the court.

The men's basketball team will travel to Ithaca, N.Y. to take on Ivy League competitor, Cornell, on Saturday, December 9. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
