Bucknell Men's Basketball Tournament Tickets Go On Sale Friday, Backcourt Club Luncheon Thursday

  • LEWISBURG, Pa. -- With seven wins in its last eight games, the Bucknell men's basketball team has locked up home-court advantage for the Patriot League Tournament for at least the first round, which will be played next Wednesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. at Sojka Pavilion. Tickets go on sale on Friday at 2 p.m., and the ticketing procedures are outlined below.

    Also of note, Bison head coach Dave Paulsen will host his final Backcourt Club Luncheon of the season on Thursday at 11:45 a.m. at the Lewisburg Hotel. The $8 admission includes lunch and the opportunity to interact with coach Paulsen and select student-athletes. Raffle prizes will also be awarded, and Coach Paulsen will look back at his team's recent hot streak and ahead to the Patriot League Tournament.

    The Patriot League Ticketing Policies for the postseason basketball tournament are as follows:
    • Unlike the regular season, students must purchase a game ticket for admittance. (See prices below)
    • Unlike the regular season, faculty/staff must also purchase a game ticket for admittance. (The Patriot League does not provide discounted tickets for faculty/staff)
    • All purchased seats in Sojka Pavilion shall be reserved tickets (except Sections A & K behind each basket standard).
    • Fans from the visiting institution(s) shall be assigned to specific seating sections by the Patriot League Executive Director.

    1. QUARTERFINAL TICKET SALES BEGIN FRIDAY, FEB. 26 at 2 p.m.
    Tickets will go on-sale to the general public and campus community for the men's quarterfinal game at Sojka Pavilion beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 26 at both Campus Box Office Locations (Weis Center from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Elaine Langone Center from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.) on a first-come, first-served basis. Also starting at 2 p.m. on Friday, fans will be able to purchase tickets over the phone by calling the Campus Box Office at 570-577-1000 or on the Web at http://www.bucknell.edu/Boxoffice.

    QUARTERFINAL / SEMIFINAL GAMES -- Ticket Prices:
    • $12 -- ADULT TICKET PRICES -- Reserved single-game tickets are available for only $12.
    • $6 -- STUDENT/SENIOR CITIZEN TICKET PRICES -- Reserved single-game tickets are available to students and senior citizens for only $6. To be eligible for this discounted ticket, a senior citizen is defined as 62 or older and students must show a valid college ID or be under 18 years of age.

    Future Tournament Dates:
    • Sunday March 7: Men's Semifinals at two (2) on-campus sites - (Tickets go on sale Thursday, March 4 when Box Office opens at 2 p.m.)
    • Friday March 12: Men's Championship Game at highest seed - (Tickets go on sale Monday, March 8 when Box Office opens at 2 p.m.)

    2. WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
    The Patriot League Women's Basketball Tournament preliminary rounds will be played at the College of the Holy Cross on Saturday March 6 and Sunday March 7. For ticket information, please contact the Campus Box Office at 570-577-1000. Ticket prices for the women's tournament package at Holy Cross are $20 adult/$10 students and seniors, and for single days - $10/$5.

    The Bison men's basketball team has two regular-season games remaining, both on the road. Bucknell travels to Lehigh on Wednesday night for a battle between the two first-place teams in the Patriot League. The Bison then play at Army on Saturday at 4 p.m.

    Depending on the remaining Patriot League results, the Bison can finish anywhere from first to fourth in the final standings, but they would be assured of the No. 1 seed with two victories this week.
