LEWISBURG, Pa. -- For the second straight year, former Bucknell basketball star Charles Lee is playing with the San Antonio Spurs' summer league team, as he competes for a roster spot with the 2007 NBA champions.

Lee, who co-captained the Bison to Patriot League championships in 2005 and 2006, has already played in a pair of games for the Spurs in Las Vegas. On Friday, he scored six points in 15 minutes of action in a 65-61 loss to Philadelphia, and on Saturday he registered five points in 13 minutes in a 67-53 loss to Cleveland.

The Spurs have three more games upcoming this week in Las Vegas: Monday at 4 p.m. (Eastern) against Boston, Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. EDT against Golden State, and Wednesday at 4 p.m. EDT against Minnesota. All of the games can be seen on NBA TV and online HERE at NBA.com.

Beginning July 13, Lee and the Spurs will play five games in seven days at the Rocky Mountain Revue in Salt Lake City. All of those games will be televised on NBA.com, as well.

Recent Spurs draft pick Marcus Williams of Arizona is one of Lee's teammates this summer, as is former Kansas star Keith Langford, who was a member of the Jayhawks' squad that was upset by Bucknell in the 2005 NCAA Tournament.

Lee, who was the Patriot League Player of the Year in 2005-06, was invited to San Antonio's training camp last fall but was ultimately one of the team's final cuts. He played last season for Gilboa/Afula in the Israeli premier league, averaging 9.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals in nearly 25 minutes per game. He scored in double figures 11 times in 25 games, including a season-high 21 points in his professional debut against Ironi Ramat-Gan last November.
