  • LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Patriot League has reached an agreement with the CBS College Sports Network on a 10-game men's basketball television package for the 2009-10 season, and Bucknell will be featured at least twice this winter. As part of the arrangement, three of Bucknell's game dates have been altered from the schedule previously released in July. Bucknell will now play at American on Thursday, Feb. 11 on CBS College Sports, and the Holy Cross home game will also be televised on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. from Sojka Pavilion.

In addition, Bucknell's final regular-season home game against Lehigh has been moved to Sunday, Feb. 21. That date, as well as the final Saturday of the regular season (Feb. 27), have been designated as "flex" games for CBS College Sports. The network will select those games at a later date.

CBS College Sports will air one quarterfinal game and one semifinal game from the Patriot League Tournament. The Patriot League championship game will continue to be televised on ESPN2.

Game times for all but one 2009-10 contest have also been announced.

The two guaranteed CBS College Sports appearances means that by the end of this season the Bison will have appeared on national television at least 25 times over the last five years.

CBS College Sports is available across the country through local cable operators and via satellite on DIRECTV Channel 613 and Dish Network Channel 152. For more information on how to get CBS College Sports in your area, go to http://www.cbscollegesports.com/getcbscollegesports/.

In addition to the two Bucknell games in February, other Patriot League games slated for the CBS College Sports package include Lehigh at Navy on Jan. 14, Colgate at American on Jan. 17, Lehigh at Holy Cross on Jan. 31 and Colgate at Army on Feb. 7.

The Jan. 24 American-Holy Cross women's game and the Patriot League women's championship game will also be televised. The basketball package adds to the Patriot League's coverage on CBS College Sports Network, which includes full coverage of the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Tournament as well as two regular-season men's lacrosse contests.

Bucknell's 2009-10 campaign will kick off in Providence, R.I., on Nov. 13 against Mercer at 5 p.m. That will be the first of three games in three days at the World Vision Basketball Invitational. The Bison will also take on Providence and Bryant at that event. The home opener will be Saturday, Nov. 21 against Saint Francis (Pa.) at 7:30 p.m.
