Patriot League Football Academic Honor Roll
LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell football team placed a program-record 31 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced Friday. It marked the eighth time in the last nine years the Bison had at least 20 team members honored and it was the most in the league.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.
Patriot League Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year Travis Nissley headlined the Bucknell list with a 4.0 grade-point average. Teammate Jason Vollmar gave the Bison two of the three players in the league with 4.0 GPAs, while All-League honorees Greg Jones and A.J. Kizekai were also recognized.
