LEWISBURG, Pa. - Saturday's Bucknell-Hofstra football game at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium will be Community Day, meaning there will be free admission for all fans. Kickoff for the Bison's final non-league game of the season is slated for 1 p.m.

In addition to the free admission, fans will have the opportunity to enjoy a halftime performance by the Hawthorne Caballeros Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps. The Hawthorne Caballeros are making an appearance at a Bucknell football game for the second consecutive year. They are regulars at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium during the Cavalcade of Bands each July.

The popular Bison Land Inflatables, sponsored by West Branch Rent-All, will also be available before and during the game and there will be a Junior Bison Club party and autograph session following the contest. Additionally, it is Take a Kid to the Game Day.

Bucknell is off to a 3-1 start and is coming off a come-from-behind 21-17 victory at Marist last Saturday. The Bison are averaging more than 220 passing yards a game and are tied with Lafayette and Colgate for the most overall wins among Patriot League teams.

A member of the Colonial Athletic Association, Hofstra is 2-3 this season and 1-1 in conference play. The Pride is coming off a 56-0 loss to No. 1 James Madison last week.

Bucknell will take to the road next weekend as it plays at Georgetown in its first Patriot League contest of the season, but it will return home Oct. 25 to face Colgate. That game will be part of Homecoming weekend and will kick off at 1 p.m.
