STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Freshman Schuyler Stitzer posted a team-best 74 and the Bucknell men's golf team closed with a 309 at the Rutherford Intercollegiate on Master's Sunday at the Penn State Blue Course. The Bison shot 933 for the 54-hole tournament and finished in 11th place.

Dan Bernard was Bucknell's low player for the weekend. He closed with a 78 after shooting 77-74 on Saturday, and he finished in a tie for 31st place at 229. Stitzer and Ben Mattingly, who shot 77 on Sunday, both finished at 235.

Will Bachman had a 75 in the second round but finished with an 80, while J.J. Szmadzinski shot a closing 84.

Penn State got three 73s and a 75 to finish with a 294 team score, good enough to hold off fast-closing Towson for the win. The Tigers shot a tournament-best 287 on Sunday to move up to second place. William & Mary, Army and Delaware rounded out the top five.

Penn State's T.J. Howe shot 70-73-73 to win the individual title by one stroke over Binghamton's Jake Katz.
