ITHACA, N.Y. -- Brian Bartow (Rye, N.Y./Rye Neck) posted a team-best 74 and Bucknell sits in second place after one full round of the Cornell Invitational, which got underway Saturday at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course. Round two was not completed due to darkness and will be resumed on Sunday morning, prior to the scheduled third and final round.

Bucknell shot 306 as a team and is tied for second place with Lafayette, 11 strokes behind leader Binghamton. Colgate (307), Lehigh (308) and Delaware (309) are close behind the Bison in a tightly bunched near the top of the 15-team field.

Bartow has had good luck in upstate New York this fall. He won the Colgate Invitational two weeks ago, and now he is in a tie for eighth place at Cornell, three shots off the lead.

Also for Bucknell, Andrew Cohen (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) shot 76, Ben Mattingly (Fishers, Ind./Park Tudor) posted a 77, and Jeff Pike (Rye, N.Y./Rye) and J.J. Szmadzinski (Northville, Mich./Detroit Catholic Central) both shot 79.

Colgate's Will Delano carded a 1-under 71 and has the individual lead by one shot over Michael Surdey of Binghamton.
