Bucknell Men's Golf Second After First Day at Cornell

Ithaca, N.Y. - Abbie Valentine's even-par 72 earned him the individual lead after the first day of competition at the Cornell Invitational in Ithaca, N.Y. As a team, the Bison are in second with 308 shots, just two behind Lehigh's 306. Valentine is tied for the individual overall lead with Dan McCarthy of LeMoyne, Will Weihenmayer of Lehigh, and Will Shriver of Loyola. Bucknell's four other participants all finished in within eight shots of the lead. Charles Waddell shot a six-over 78, Tom Lane and Alex Dolle had a seven-over 79, and Ben Pellicani had an eight-over 80. Rounding out the top five of the team scores are Loyola and Binghamton, tied for third with a 21-over 309, and LeMoyne and Cornell, tied for fifth with a 22-over 310.
Competition will wrap up Sunday in Ithaca, N.Y.
