Men's Golf Misses Qualifying For ECAC's

COLLEGE MEN'S GOLF: Bucknell Finishes in sixth at ECAC Men's Open Golf Southern Regional

York, Pa. -- The Bucknell men's golf team traveled mid-week to the ECAC qualifier tournament held at Honey Run Golf Club in York, Pa. The team shot a 316, 17 strokes short of qualifying behind UMBC, Towson, and Millersville.

Leading the way for the Orange and Blue on the individual front was sophomore Jimmy Freeman (Laguna Niguel, Calif./St. Margarets) and senior captain Ken Kosteva (Berwick, Pa./Central Columbia). Freeman narrowly missed qualifying for ECAC's, coming up one stroke short shooting a 75, low man on the totem pole for Bucknell. Kosteva had another strong showing shooting a 79, which placed him in a tie for 25th.

The Bucknell men's golf team will hit the links again when they travel to Camden, N.J. to play in the Rutgers Invitational on October 6-7. The tournament will be played on the Rutgers Golf Club in Piscataway, N.J.
