LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell junior Andrew Cohen (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) has been named the Patriot League Golfer of the Month for April after winning a pair of tournaments on consecutive weekends, including the Patriot League Championship on Apr. 25-26 at West Point. Cohen became the second Bison to win the award in 2008-09, as classmate Jeff Pike earned the honor back in September.

Cohen became the second Bucknell golfer to claim a Patriot League individual title, joining two-time winner Charlie Waddell (2005, 2006). Cohen broke the league record with a 208 (2-under par), shooting 71-68-69 over the three-round tournament. His record-setting score led Bucknell to the team title for the third time in the last four years, and the Bison competed at the NCAA Regionals last week at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Ky.

Just prior to the Patriot League Championship, Cohen tied for first place at the Caves Valley Intercollegiate in Maryland. He posted scores of 70-71 to finish 1-under for the tournament and earn his first career individual win.

Cohen shot 78-75-85 in a star-studded field at the NCAA Regional, as the Bison finished 14th. That left his spring scoring average at a team-best 74.9. His overall average, including the fall season, was 75.1.
