WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Bucknell men's soccer team had its two-game winning streak halted Saturday night at Clinton Field as Army's Adrian Moreno scored a goal with 2:56 remaining to upset the Bison.

Bucknell, which opened its Patriot League schedule last weekend with a 2-0 win over Holy Cross, fell to 5-3-2 overall and 1-1-0 in Patriot League play. The Black Knights, who won just their third Patriot League game in the last five years, improved to 2-8-0 overall and 1-1-0 in the Patriot League.

The lone goal of the contest came as Army's Doug Jones lined up for a free kick. He bounced the kick off the wall of Bucknell defenders and it went right to teammate Moreno who fired the ball in from 30 yards past Bison senior goalkeeper Adam Edwards (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown).

Edwards, who was in search of his seventh shutout of the season, made six saves in the contest to up his season total to 48. He has allowed just seven goals in 10 games this year.

Despite being outshot by a 20-4 margin, Bucknell did win the corner kick battle, 8-5.

The game was plagued by seven yellow cards with just two being called on Bison players.

Bucknell will return to action with another Patriot League road game next Saturday night, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. against Colgate. The Raiders lost to Lafayette Saturday afternoon to fall to 1-1-0 in the Patriot League.
