Bucknell Men's Swimming and Diving Announces 11-Person Recruiting Class
June 14, 2012 LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's swimming and diving team had a talented eight-person senior class this past season. With that group graduating, seventh-year head coach Dan Schinnererannounced a large 11-person recruiting class Thursday. The group represents eight different states and has nine swimmers and two divers. "This is very large and talented class; however, we needed it because of the large and talented class we just graduated this spring," mentioned Schinnerer, who has guided the Bison to four second-place finishes in the last five years at the Patriot League Championships. "This group of young men has the opportunity to make tremendous contributions right from the beginning in a variety of different events. While we lost a number of top performers from last season's squad, this class combined with the returning veterans has the potential to be one of the deepest teams in my time here at Bucknell." Bucknell is coming off a strong year where it had eight All-Patriot League selections and posted a 7-2 dual-meet record. The Bison were 5-1 in Patriot League dual meets.
