Bison Men's Swimming and Diving Leads League with 18 Academic Honor Roll Selections

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's swimming and diving team placed 18 selections out of the 99 student-athletes to earn Academic Honor Roll recognition. The Bison led the league with three members having earned a 4.0 GPA or better. Nathaniel Frye, Trevor Reitz and Matthew Segar all led the team with perfect grade-point averages.

Bucknell placed 18 student-athletes onto the Academic Honor Roll to lead all schools, while Army was second with 16. American was next with 13 student-athletes, while Lehigh and Holy Cross followed behind with 12 names apiece on the list.

Christian Treat, a junior animal behavior major, posted a 3.50 GPA in the spring semester to garner a spot on the list for a third straight year. Treat was also the men's swimming and diving 2012 Scholar-Athlete of the Year, earning the honor for a second straight year.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
