Bucknell Men's Swimming & Diving Leads Patriot League with 16 Academic Honor Roll Members

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's swimming and diving team placed a league-high 16 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, it was announced on Tuesday. For a fourth-straight year, the Bison have posted the highest total of selections, followed by Lafayette in second with 15. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's six winter or 10 spring championship sports. Among the Bucknell student-athletes honored were First-Team All-League performers Bradford Bennett (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area) and rising-senior Mark Kawczenski (Wilkes Barre, Pa./Hanover Area) along with Matthew McGraw (Penfield, N.Y./Fairport) who was one of eight individuals from around the league to post a perfect grade-point average. In his final semester at Bucknell, McGraw, who graduated with a degree in biomedical engineering, recorded a 4.0 GPA. Behind Bucknell and Lafayette, Holy Cross had 14 honor roll selections followed by Navy with 11, American with 10, Lehigh with eight, Army with seven and Colgate with five.
