Bucknell Swimming Teams Ranked Among Mid-Major Top-20
Dec. 12, 2000 LEWISBURG, PA - Bucknell University's men's and women's swimming & diving teams are ranked 11th and 13th, respectively, in the latest mid-major Top-20 Poll by CollegeSwimming.com. The ranking is based upon dual-meet points and aims to recognize those institutions and conferences that do not benefit from the exposure or finances of television contracts. Institutions from the following conferences are eligible for consideration: America East, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Ivy/EISL, Metro Atlantic, Mid-America, Mid-Continent, Midwest, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Sun Belt, Trans America and West Coast. The Bucknell men are currently 4-2 in dual meet competition and are off for the next three weeks for final exams and the holiday period. The women, also on hold with finals this week, are 3-3 in dual meets this season. Both squads will head to Florida for training at the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex in early January.
