Stephen Schram, a certified United States Professional Tennis Association teaching professional, enters his second season as assistant men's and women's tennis coach at Bucknell. Prior to joining the Bison, Schram, who is a 2006 graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University with a degree in political science, served as assistant women's tennis coach at Radford University in Virginia and as assistant men's and women's tennis coach at Wofford College in South Carolina. Schram played college tennis at the University of Charleston in 2001-2002, before transferring to FGCU, where he earned three letters in men's tennis. He spent 2003 as a tennis instructor at the Tough Tennis Academy in Naples, Fla., where he lived, worked and trained. While there, he taught nationally ranked junior players between the ages of 12 and 18. Following his graduation from FGCU, Schram began working at Wofford College, where he organized practices and individual on-court workouts and assisted with recruiting. In the spring of 2007, the men's tennis team at Wofford achieved a record number of victories against Division I opponents. Schram took on similar assistant coaching duties at Radford University. A native of Zanesville, Ohio, Schram spent the summers of 2007-2009 as a coach and instructor at the University of Notre Dame Tennis Camp. He also spent the summer of 2009 as a camp instructor at Pepperdine University. | ||||||||||||||||
