Bison Men's Tennis Drops Matches to St. Bonaventure and Buffalo

Denefrio, Neff and Reibeisen Win One Singles Match Apiece

OLEAN, N.Y. - The Bison men's tennis team fell to St. Bonaventure 6-1, and Buffalo 5-2, in back-to-back dual matches Saturday in Olean, N.Y. Junior Garrett Neff upended St. Bonaventure's Antonio Faries, 6-2, 6-1, at six singles for the only Bison win against the Bonnies.

The Bison were more successful against Buffalo winning two singles matches and one doubles contest. Freshman Ira Reibeisen downed Mike Rockman, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (3), at two singles. At three singles, senior Nick Denefrio picked up a win against Josh Liederman, 7-6 (1), 3-6, 6-3. The team of Matt Pikus and Reibeisen was also victorious at two doubles besting Buffalo's Liederman and Rockman, 8-6.

The losses put the Bison at 0-4 in dual meets so far this season. The Bison have another two match weekend ahead of them next weekend when they take on Washington College at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, in Chestertown, Md. The Bison will stay in Chestertown to take on Richmond on Saturday at 2 p.m.
