Bucknell Men's Tennis Downs Skidmore, 9-0, at the Hilton Head Tournament

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Bucknell men's tennis team snapped its six-match losing streak after blanking Skidmore, 9-0, in its final match at the Hilton Head Tournament Thursday. The Bison, now 4-7, will return home to host Mount St. Mary's on Tuesday, March 20, at the Bucknell Tennis Courts. The team of Jonathan Brenner (Manhasset, N.Y./Chaminade) and Ryan Sandburg (Orange, Calif./Canyon) dropped Jared Karlebach and T.J. David, 8-0 in the No. 1 spot, while the pair of Ira Reibeisen (Armonk, N.Y./Rye Country Day-Upper) and Zach Hascoe (Greenwich, Conn./Brunswick) defeated Josh Rucker and Tyson McKechnie,8-4, in the No. 2 spot. Sidharth Makkar (Queens, N.Y./Bronx School of Science) and Ben Young (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) took down Dane Pfieffer and Jack Martin in the No. 3 spot, 8-2. In singles action, Reibeisen defeated Rucker, 6-3, 6-1, in the No. 1 spot, while Sandburg dropped McKechnie in the No. 2 spot, 6-3, 6-4. Young took down David at the No. 3 spot, 6-2, 7-5. Hascoe posted a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Martin, 6-1, 6-3, in the No. 4 spot. Brenner notched a three-set win over Pfieffer, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, in the No. 5 spot, while Daniel Bednarek (Haworth, N.J./Bergen Catholic) collected a No. 6 singles win over Karlebach, 7-6, 4-6, 10-6.
