ORLANDO, Fla. - The Bison tennis teams concluded spring break action in Orlando, Fla., earlier this week. The Bucknell men managed a 3-2 showing against tough competition while the Bison women continued with their impressive start to the season with a 3-1 performance.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the men notched a 5-2 win over Cleveland State and a 7-0 shutout against Winona State. The Bison fell 5-1 to Eckerd College, a top 15 team in Division II. Several of Bucknell's matches were suspended due to darkness and weather during the Eckerd match much to the dismay of several Bucknell players who were leading their singles matches when the event was called.

The women swept their mid-week contests, dominating Cleveland State 7-0, and pummeling Eckerd College, a top 30 team in Division II, 8-1. Bucknell only has one loss on the year in women's action and will look forward to a big year in the Patriot League.

Overall, both teams played well over the course of the spring break matches and will return to Lewisburg hungry to face Patriot League competition.
