Men's Tennis Team Picks up Convincing Win Over Mount St. Mary's

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's tennis team was in action again on Wednesday, March 28, hosting Mount St. Mary's for a non-conference match. The Bison dominated The Mount, defeating the visitors, 7-0. BU swept the doubles matches with the duo of senior co-captain Hayes Hopple (Wilton, Conn./Saint Georges School) and junior co-captain Alex Davydov (Middlebury, Vt./Middlebury) winning a convincing 8-1 bout at the third doubles flight. In singles action, Hopple turned in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the fifth flight, while sophomore Todd Jacobs (Wayne, Pa./Conestoga) was equally as impressive at the number four spot with a 6-0, 6-0 win over his opponent. The Bison improve to 5-1 on the season and will host St. Joseph's for a 3:30 p.m. match on Thursday, March 29. Mount St. Mary's falls to 2-11 overall.
