Bucknell Men's Tennis Falls at Binghamton, 5-2

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Senior Todd Jacobs and freshman Asher Salam won in singles play, but they were Bucknell's lone victors as the Bison fell 5-2 at Binghamton on Thursday, April 10. With the win, Jacobs moved into a tie for fourth place on the Bucknell all-time career singles wins list with 44. Jacobs, playing at number two, earned BU's first point of the match with a 7-6 (3), 6-1 win against Brad Davidoff. Salam followed with a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Edwin Gerard at the third singles flight. In doubles action, the Bison lost all three matches to give up the doubles point. Jacobs and Salam put up a fight at number two, falling 8-6 to Davidoff and Steve Spencer. Sophomore Joe Menezes and freshman Aaron Saperstein also dropped an 8-6 decision at the third flight to Gerard and Krishna Vallabhaneni. Bucknell falls to 3-14 overall. The Orange and Blue are on the road again this weekend, traveling to Colgate for a 12:00 p.m. Patriot League match against the Raiders.
