Bucknell Men's Tennis Falls at Colgate, 5-2

HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Bucknell men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at Colgate on Saturday afternoon. The Bison fall to 3-15 overall and 0-4 in Patriot League play.

The Orange and Blue dropped the doubles point, losing two of three matches. Senior Todd Jacobs and freshman Asher Salam teamed up to win Bucknell's only doubles bout, defeating Andrew Davis and Reed Hagmann 8-6 at number two.

In singles action, Salam continued the winning with his victory at number three. The rookie defeated Evan Ambrose in an exciting 7-6 (4), 7-6 (8) match. Also victorious was freshman Aaron Saperstein. Saperstein was a 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 winner at number six over Brian Yellin.

The Bison are in action next when they host Lehigh for a 4:00 p.m. Patriot League match on Monday, April 14.

2. Eric Saccullo (C) def. Todd Jacobs - 6-0, 6-3.
3. Asher Salam (B) def. Evan Ambrose - 7-6 (4), 7-6 (8).
4. Jon Bedard (C) def. Joe Menezes - 6-2, 6-4.
5. Peter Oman (C) def. Gerald DiChiara - 7-6 (1), 6-2.
6. Aaron Saperstein (B) def. Brian Yellin - 5-7, 6-1, 6-1.

Doubles
1. Ambrose/Bedard (C) def. Denefrio/DiChiara - 8-2.
2. Jacobs/Salam (B) def. Andrew Davis/Hagmann - 8-6.
3. Oman/Saccullo (C) def. Menezes/Saperstein - 8-4.
