Bucknell Men's Tennis Falls 5-2 in Dual Meet at Duquesne

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Bucknell men's tennis team dropped its first dual meet match of the fall season, falling 5-2 at Duquesne on Saturday, September 28. Sophomore Gerald DiChiara and freshman Asher Salam were the only winners for the Bison on the day.

In doubles action, the duo of DiChiara and Salam teamed up at the third flight to post a 9-7 victory over Joe Esposito and Rob Schirripa. Duquesne won the doubles point with wins at the first and second flights.

In singles play, Salam claimed a 6-4, 6-3 win over Schirripa at the fifth flight. DiChiara earned Bucknell's only other point in the match with a 6-2, 6-2 decision against Esposito at number six.

Bucknell is 0-1 in dual meet action and is in competition next at Robert Morris at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 29.
