LEWISBURG, Pa. - Sophomore Kerry Boyle (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton) of the Bucknell men's indoor track and field team completed a successful day in the Gulden Relays as he finished first in the 500-meter run with a time of 1 minute, 3.76 seconds, which qualified him for the IC4A Championships. The mark was a personal best and moved him into third place in school history. Boyle was also part of the sprint medley relay team that posted a new school record and notched a first-place finish. The Hazleton, Pa., native was also named Runner MVP of the Gulden Relays.

In the sprint medley, Boyle teamed with junior Matthew Johnson (Newburgh, N.Y./Marlboro Central), sophomore Kevin Macleod (East Longmeadow, Mass./East Longmeadow) and junior Brian Mooney (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili) and crossed the line with a time of 3:32.21. MacLeod also posted a third-place finish in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.58 seconds. In the 4x400, Boyle, seniors Matthew Bonelli (Califon, N.J./Pingry School) and Eric Guja (Massapequa, N.Y./St. Anthony's) and freshman Gregory Baxter (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) finished with a time of 3:22.36, which was good for first place.

The squad of freshmen Austin Ricker (Old Lyme, Conn./Old Lyme), Kyle Ramer (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield), Griffin Burns (Hanover, Pa./Mercersburg Academy), and senior Eric Harbison (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg-Salem) finished first in the 4x800 with a time of 8:16.51. Seniors Matthew Forys (Howell, N.J./Howell) and Mark Caroleo (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) and freshmen Sean Coyne (Freehold, N.J./Freehold Township) and Andrew Huebner (Hampton Falls, N.H./Governor Dummer Academy) notched a second-place showing in the distance medley, crossing the line with a time of 10:10.73. The group of MacLeod, freshmen Sean Coyne (Freehold, N.J./Freehold Township) and Andrew Yehl (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) and senior John MacFeeters (Haddon Field, N.J./Haddon Field Memorial) broke the plane with a time of 33.96 in the 4x60 shuttle hurdle.

Sophomore Ryan Robinson (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) jumped a distance of six feet, 4 ¾ inches (1.95m) to claim his first victory of the season in the high jump. Freshman Kyle Anthony (Barryville, N.Y./Eldred Central) recorded his second long jump win of the season after jumping a length of 23-0 (7.01m). Senior Tyler Hoffman (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) picked up his first weight throw victory of the season as he recorded a mark of 60-9 ½ (18.52m), which is a personal best. Freshman Timothy Medlock (Evan Mills, N.Y./Indian River) notched his first career win in the shot put as he launched a distance of 46-7 ¼ (14.20m).

In the one-mile run, senior Derrin Pierret (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) and freshman Baron Willeford (New Orleans, La./Columbia Prep (N.Y.)) finished second and third with times of 4:22.41 and 4:31.85, respectively.

Senior Sean Egan (Yorkstown Heights, N.Y./Fordham Prep.) placed third in the 3,000, crossing the line with a time of 8:55.34. In the pole vault, freshman Jason Inzana (Birdsboro, Pa./Daniel Boone) notched a height of 14-9 (4.50m), which was good for third place.

The Bucknell men's indoor track and field team will host the Bucknell Heptagonal on Saturday Jan. 20, in Gerhard Fieldhouse.
