PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Bucknell men's and women's tennis team took part in the second day of competition at the 2007 Penn Relays at Franklin Field on the campus of Penn. The quartet of seniors Matthew Forys (Howell, N.J./Howell) and Mark Caroleo (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon), along with junior Brian Mooney (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili) and sophomore Kerry Boyle (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton) posted a second-place showing in the distance medley relay with a time of 9 minutes, 54.81 seconds.

In the shuttle hurdle relay, the team of senior Samuel Andrews (Philadelphia, Pa./Germantown Academy), sophomore Kevin Macleod (East Longmeadow, Mass./East Longmeadow), with freshmen Ryan White (Elkins Park, Pa./Father Judge) and Andrew Yehl (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) placed seventh with a time of 1:01.74.

Freshman Jason Inzana (Birdsboro, Pa./Daniel Boone) finished 12th in the pole vault (eastern division) with a height of 14 feet, 7 ¼ inches (4.45m). The lone Bison women competitor, senior Ann Doty (Punxsutawney, Pa./ Punxsutawney), recorded a distance of 38-2 ¾ (11.65m) in the triple jump (eastern division), which was good for seventh.

Bucknell will compete in the final day of the Penn Relays on Saturday, Apr. 28. The Bison will also travel to Loretto, Pa. to participate in the Red Flash Open on the campus of Saint Francis (Pa.). The meet will begin at 10 a.m.
