Bucknell Men's Track and Field Picks up Weekly Patriot League Honor
April 25, 2006 LEWISBURG, Pa. - Senior Dan Frake (Northport, N.Y./Northport) of the Bucknell men's outdoor track and field team was named the Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week for the week ending on April 25, the League office announced Tuesday morning. On Saturday, April 22, Frake won the hammer throw and the shot put at the Bucknell Five Way. Frake's hammer mark was 172 feet 3 inches, while he marked a heave in the shot of 50-7. Earlier in this 2006 season, Frake earned a place at both the IC4A Championships and the NCAA Eastern Regional Championships in the hammer, with his best mark being set at 189, putting him third on the Bucknell all-time top-10 list. The senior, along with the rest of the Bison track and field squad, will return to action April 27-29 at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. Part of the team will also be competing at the Lehigh Games on April 29, in Bethlehem, Pa.
