LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell men’s track and field became the latest squad to earn academic honors when it was named an All-Academic Track and Field Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) today. The Bison men posted a team grade point average of 3.130.

Leading the way for the Bison were Kyle Anthony (Barryville, N.Y./Eldred Central) and Steven Pierce (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) who were each named to the USTFCCA All-Academic Team on Monday. The pair of rising seniors was part of a national group recognized for maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and meeting either the NCAA Division I Indoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard or the NCAA Division I Outdoor regional or national qualifying standard in their respective event.

The Bison men’s track and field team also placed a league-leading 37 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recently, adding to the program’s success in the classroom.

A total of 67 Division I men’s programs were recognized as USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams this year. To be nominated, the squad must carry a minimum 3.000 cumulative GPA.
