CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Junior Bradley Roslyn equaled his career high with five goals as the Bucknell men's water polo team defeated Navy 8-6 Saturday afternoon during the second day of the ECAC Championships. The victory was the first for the Bison (8-2) over the Mids (6-6) since an 11-5 victory in 2000.

Bucknell, which had lost six consecutive games in the series, fell behind 5-3 at halftime, but stormed back on the defensive end in allowing Navy just one second-half goal as the Bison scored five of their own.

Roslyn, who converted on five of his seven shots, also added an assist to his tally. Senior Jay Danforth, who found the back of the net twice, and freshman Jason Rechel, who scored once, rounded out the scoring for Bucknell. The Bison needed 16 shots to score their eight goals.

On the defensive end, junior Trevor Mullins stymied the Mids by making six saves in goal.

Bucknell continues competition at the ECAC Championships at 5:45 p.m. Saturday when it takes on host Harvard. If the Bison defeat the Crimson they will earn a spot in the championship game Sunday afternoon.
