NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Two days after netting 19 goals against league foe George Washington, the Bucknell men’s water polo team managed just nine goals in two games against ranked teams Saturday at the UC Irvine Invitational. The Bison, who have now played 11 ranked foes this season, including four top-five opponents, lost to No. 3 USC 21-4 and No. 12 UC Davis 8-5. Bucknell (11-8) could not get going against the Trojans as it trailed 6-2 at the end of the first quarter, and 14-3 at halftime.
