LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell men's water polo team closed out the weekend on a strong note, picking up its second league victory with a 15-4 win over George Washington on Sunday, September 24. The Bison hosted the first set of 2000 College Water Polo Association, Southern Division League Games on Saturday and Sunday, September 23-24. In addition to Bucknell and George Washington, Navy, Princeton and Johns Hopkins were also involved in play this weekend.

On Sunday, the Orange and Blue faced George Washington for their final game of the weekend. Several players contributed with two goals each in the all around team effort. Freshman John Kearney (Ventura, Calif./Cate School) had a solid game, scoring twice while assisting on four goals.

The Bison are 10-6 overall and 2-2 in the Southern Division. Bucknell is in action again on Saturday and Sunday, September 30-October 1, at the North/South Invitational at Princeton.
