Water Polo Falls To Navy And Johns Hopkins

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Bucknell men's water polo team lost two tough games at Navy on Saturday, October 7. The Bison are playing their second set of College Water Polo Association Southern Division League games.

Bucknell fell to Navy, ranked 15th in the latest national poll, 9-3, in the first game of the weekend. Seniors Kevin Permisohn (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) and Tate Greditzer (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs), freshman Jamie Saettele (St. Louis, Mo./Ladue Horton Watkins) accounted for BU's scores in the contest. In addition, Permisohn had two steals and one assist, while Greditzer added one assist.

In the second contest, the Orange and Blue fell, 5-4, to Johns Hopkins. Hopkins is ranked third in the latest Division III poll. Permisohn had another solid game with three assists and four steals. Greditzer scored one goal in the contest and seniors James Miante (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) and Chris Kempton (New York, N.Y./Deerfield Academy) and sophomore Chris Saxton (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto) each scored for Bucknell in the game.

The Bison are 11-11 overall and 2-4 in league play. Bucknell faces Princeton, 17th in the Division I poll, at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 8, and finishes the weekend against George Washington at 2:00 p.m.
