Bucknell Men's Water Polo Hosts Four Key League Games this Weekend

LEWISBURG, Pa. -The Bucknell men's water polo team will continue its string of playing six of seven games at Kinney Natatorium when it hosts four key league opponents this weekend. The Bison will complete their regular-season league schedule by playing games against conference foes Johns Hopkins, No. 14 Navy, George Washington and No. 16 Princeton on Saturday and Sunday.
Live online video broadcasts of all four games will be available via eysports.com. Fans can watch the games by visiting http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/eysports.portal# A subscription for one game is $19.95 or $69.95 for all four contests. An archive of each game will be available shortly after the conclusion. A subscription is needed to access the archive. A multiple-camera setup with no audio commentary will be used during the broadcasts.

Bison senior co-captains Brian Barron and Matt Napleton will be honored during Senior Day ceremonies prior to Saturday evening's game vs. No. 14 Navy. Barron has totaled 113 goals, 66 assists and 179 points in his career, while Napleton ranks seventh in program history with 471 career saves. Barron and Napleton have experienced 51 victories during their time as Bison.
Bucknell is 2-0 at home this season and has won four of its last five games at Kinney Natatorium.
Bucknell played the same four league opponents at home on a mid-October weekend last fall and went 2-2. The Bison defeated George Washington (W, 12-5) and Johns Hopkins (W, 12-10), but lost to nationally ranked Princeton (L, 9-8 - OT) and Navy (L, 10-8).
Bucknell's six wins have come by an average score of 16.2-8.7. The Bison's nine losses have been much closer, coming by an average score of 12.2-7.7.
Jack Else enters the weekend with a team-high 59 ejections drawn this season. That figure ranks sixth on the Bison single-season list. Else's career-high 78 ejections drawn last fall were a program record.
Bucknell's offense has been balanced this year as the team's top three scorers have been Else (33 goals), Mike Kimble (32) and Stefan Aleksic (28). Aleksic leads the team in points with 49 thanks to his 21 assists on the season.
Alex Nowlin recently moved past the century mark for career assists. The junior now has 102 assists in his career and is just 25 shy of 10th-place Garrin Kapecki on the program's all-time list. Nowlin has posted eight multi-assist outings this season.
Freshman Stefan Aleksic has tallied at least one point in all 15 games this season. He is the only Bison to accomplish that feat.
Napleton leads the Bison with 140 saves this year. He has registered seven double-figure save performances, including a career-high 21 in a win over Harvard.
Bucknell has played seven ranked opponents this year. That number will increase to nine following this weekend. The Bison's last victory over a ranked opponent came Oct. 8, 2011 at Princeton.
