LEWISBURG, Pa. -
After last taking the mat as a squad on Dec. 4 at home against Franklin & Marshall, the Bucknell wrestling team will be in action on the road this weekend, traveling to No. 8 Missouri for a dual-meet on Friday and will then head to New York, N.Y., to take on Wagner at the New York Athletic Club on Sunday. The match-up with the Tigers is set for 8 p.m. on Jan. 4, while the Bison will face the Seahawks at 6 p.m. on Jan. 6.

A Look at Bucknell's Probable Starters
- 125: Freshman José Matos (Williamstown, N.J./St. Augustine Prep) holds an overall record of 10-8 on the year and is 1-3 in dual-meet competition after picking up a 6-4 overtime victory against Jake Bucha of Franklin & Marshall. Over the break, Matos competed at the Cleveland State Open and took third at 125. Earlier in the season, Matos posted place-winning performances at the Binghamton Open (fourth) and the Navy Classic (fifth).
- 133: Sophomore co-captain David Marble (Harpursville, N.Y./Harpursville Area) is 20th at this weight according to the latest InterMat/NWMA/NWCA Division I Individual Rankings with a record of 12-3. He is 5-2 in dual-meet competition, winning his last three consecutive bouts, including a fall he posted against Stephen Sabreen of F&M.
- 141: Sophomore Luke Chohany (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) is 10-6 on the year and 3-1 in duals, victorious in his last three dual-meet bouts. Excluding two matches against exhibition opponents, Chohany posted a 2-1 record at the Cleveland State Open.
- 149: Freshman Kevin LeValley (Hugo, Colo./Limon) holds an overall record of 12-5 and is 5-2 duals, having won his last four in a row. LeValley is among the EIWA leaders in major decisions with seven on the year.
- 157: Sophomore Brantley Hooks (Spartanburg, S.C./James F. Byrnes) is 4-4 on the season and 0-1 in duals, dropping his lone duals bout, 11-3 against Frankie McLaughlin of George Mason.
- 165: Sophomore co-captain Andy Rendos (Brockway, Pa./Brockway Area) is currently ranked 20th nationally and paces the Bison with a record of 14-3 (6-1 duals). Out of his 14 wins, 10 have been for bonus points, including the last four in a row. His lone duals loss came against Eric Tannenbaum of Michigan who is currently ranked No. 1 at this weight with an undefeated record.
- 174: Sophomore Shane Riccio (Warren, N.J./Watchung Hills) holds a 10-6 record on the year (3-1 duals). He placed third at the Cleveland State Open on Dec. 15 and was also a placewinner at the Navy Classic (fourth) back in November.
- 184: Freshman David Thompson (West Liberty, Ohio/Graham Local) is 12-4 overall and 5-2 in dual-meet action. He captured second at the Cleveland State Open and was third at the Navy Classic. Thompson has five bonus point wins to his credit--one pin, one technical fall, and three major decisions.
- 197: Freshman Charlie Wonsettler (Scenery Hill, Pa./North Allegheny) holds a record of 8-7 on the year (2-1 duals) and went 2-2 at the Cleveland State Open. He is 4-3 since moving up to this weight from 184.
- 285: Sophomore co-captain George Hingson (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) is 13-5 on the year with a 5-2 mark in dual-meet competition. He has three pins to his credit and placed at both tournaments he has competed in, taking fifth at both the Binghamton Open and the Navy Classic.

Scouting Missouri
- Ranked No. 8 in the nation according to the most recent
USA Today/
InterMat/NWCA Division I Coaches Poll, Missouri enters Friday night's meet, its home opener, with a perfect duals record of 4-0, most recently defeating Pittsburgh, 23-17. The Tigers lineup features nine wresters who are ranked in the top-20 nationally, lead by Nicholas Marable who is fourth at 165. This will mark the first meeting between Bucknell and Missouri.
Scouting Wagner
- Wagner is 0-4-1 in duals on the year, coming off a 22-22 tie against Delaware State. Sean Quinn, the squad's 157-pounder, leads the Seahawks in wins with a record of 7-6. Last season, the Bison defeated Wagner in Lewisburg by the score of 49-0.
Seven Bison Tabbed in Latest EIWA Rankings
- Seven members of the Orange and Blue earned spots in the latest Intercollegiate Wrestling Association's (EIWA) individual rankings and the Bison were tabbed seventh overall as a team. The rankings, which were announced on Dec. 10, are based on a poll of the EIWA's Rankings Committee. Marble led the way with a team-best No. 2 spot at 133, while Rendos was third at 165, sophomore Greg Hart (Bedminster, N.J./Bernards) was tabbed fourth at 125, Hingson was fifth at heavyweight and LeValley, Riccio and Thompson were all sixth at 149, 174 and 184, respectively.
