Bucknell's Bryan Johnston Named Bull Run Inn Athlete of the Week
Nov. 4, 2002 LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's senior cross country runner, Bryan Johnston (Kane, Pa./Kane Area) was named Bull Run Inn Athlete of the Week on Monday, Nov. 4. Johnston won the men's meet at the Patriot League Championship this past weekend. Johnston set the pace in the men's race, finishing first with a course-record time of 25:43.18. He is Bucknell's fourth Patriot League individual champion and the first since David Bronfenbrenner in 1999. Johnston was awarded first-team honors while finishing in the top ten slots. The men's team placed third out of seven teams, while the women's cross country team snatched second falling only one point behind first-place American.
Bucknell will next participate in the Mid-Atlantic Regional meet on Saturday, Nov. 16.
