While at Yale, Marciano put her background as a psychology major to use working as a student intern in 2006 with the Child Study Center at Yale's Benhaven School for Autistic Children. Among her duties were aiding with occupational and sensory therapy as well as physical education. She also interned as a financial analyst with the Banc Investment Group in San Francisco in the summer of 2007.

As a member of the Bulldogs, the Edison, N.J., native spent four years with the community outreach program associated with Yale University Basketball Clinics and as a special assistant for the Yale University Event Staff. Marciano continued her involvement with the university as a two-year committee member of the WBCA's "Think Pink" Initiative at Yale and a counselor at the Yale University Bulldog Basketball Camp. As a mentor with the Yale Undergraduate Female Athlete Mentors program, Marciano worked with young girls to improve academic motivation and social skills.

On the court, Marciano concluded her career averaging more than five points and nearly three assists per game. With 310 assists in her career, the 2007-08 team captain and Academic All-Ivy League selection is fifth all-time at Yale. With 91 career three-point field goals, Marciano places seventh in Yale history. A key player for the Bulldogs, Marciano started 64 consecutive games, a streak that forced to an end with a rib injury. As a junior, Marciano led the Ivy League in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.30) and was second in the league with 116 assists. She also earned Ivy League Player of the Week accolades during her junior season.
