Hampton, Va. --- The Bucknell women's basketball team improved to 2-0 behind an 80-71 victory at Hampton on Monday evening.

Freshman forward Desiree Almind (Blairstown, N.J./North Warren Regional) led the offensive attack for the Bison, tallying 25 points in the win. Almind had been named Patriot League Rookie of the Week earlier in the day following her 21-point performance in Bucknell's season-opening win over American.

Sophomore Molly Creamer (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) cracked the 20-point plateau for the second straight game, adding 20 points for the Orange and Blue. Junior captain Monique LeBlanc (Cumberland, R.I./Bishop Feehan) and freshman Heidi Helsing (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) were also in double figures for Bucknell with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Bucknell returns home to host Maryland-Eastern Shore in a non-conference game on Wednesday evening. Tip-off in Davis Gymnasium is at 5:15 p.m.
