LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell women's basketball's Lauren Schober (Chicago, Ill./Regina Dominican) was named the Patriot League Baden Player of the Week on Monday. The senior averaged 17.0 points and five rebounds per game as the Bison split decisions at Lehigh and Army last week.

Schober led the team at Lehigh on Wednesday with 18 points, five assists. She also grabbed six rebounds on the night. Defensively, Schober swiped a team-best three steals and recorded one block in 38 minutes of play.

The forward came back on Saturday with a 16-point performance behind 4-for-7 (.571) shooting from three-point distance against Army. She also posted two blocked shots, tying her career high, grabbed four defensive rebounds and dished out a pair of assists. Bucknell's win against the Black Knights secured the No. 3 seed in the Patriot League Tournament.

Schober, a co-captain on this year's squad, is averaging 11.3 points per game this season while recording double-digit scoring totals in nine of Bucknell's last 10 outings. A starter in all 27 games this season, she also ranks first in the Patriot League in steals with 2.4 per game.

Schober became the 19th Bison to score 1,000 career points when she scored a season-best 20 points on Jan. 31 versus Army at Sojka Pavilion. She has since increased her total to 1,117, placing her 15th on Bucknell's all-time scoring list. The Chicago, Ill., native also ranks fourth in school history in career three pointers made (138) and attempted (435). Her nine steals against Colgate earlier this season earned her the Sojka Pavilion single-game record for most steals by a Bison.

The Player of the Week award is the first of Schober's career. As a freshman, she claimed the league's Rookie of the Week honor on two occasions.

At the end of the regular season, the Bison are 16-11 overall and 8-6 in the Patriot League. They will next be in action as the third seed in the Patriot League Quarterfinals on Saturday, March 7 when they take on the No. 6 Navy Midshipmen (15-14, 8-6) at Lehigh's Stabler Arena. Tip off is slated for 7:30 p.m.
