Bucknell Women's Basketball Team to Gather for Selection Sunday
March 8, 2002 LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell University women's basketball team will gather to learn who it will face in the upcoming NCAA Championship tournament by watching the Division I Women's Basketball Selection Show on Selection Sunday, March 10. The team will meet in the Forum of the Langone Center, located on Bucknell's campus, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The event is open to the public, and refreshments will be provided. The bracket for the tournament will be announced during the selection show on ESPN, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Bucknell qualified for its first-ever NCAA Championship appearance by winning the school's first women's basketball Patriot League Championship this past Wednesday. The second-seeded Bison defeated top-seeded Holy Cross, 88-74, in Worcester, Mass., to earn the Patriot League's automatic bid.
