Bison Women's Crew Rows at IRA Championship

CHERRY HILL, N.J. - The Bucknell women's lightweight eight competed at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship on Friday and Saturday, June 4-5, on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J. The Bison placed ninth out of 12 boats in the race, crossing the line in a time of 7:33.37.

The crew of stroke Jill Harrington, 7 Vi Ngo, 6 Teal Zeisler, 5 Amanda Roof, 4 Lauren Ewald, 3 Rachel Trusheim, 2 Lauren Olsen, bow Joan Wendler, and coxswain Kyra Harris competed in the semifinals on Friday and advanced to the Petite Final on Saturday. The Bison finished just behind Purdue (7:19.82) and Stanford (7:21.49), and ahead of Rochester, Lehigh and San Diego State.

Bucknell will travel to England for the Reading Amateur Regatta on June 12-13, before competing in the famous Henley Royal Regatta Regatta June 18-20.
