COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY - Bucknell 3, Ursinus 2 (OT)

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Junior Lauren Campbell (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) scored her first and second goals of the season and assisted on another to give Bucknell a 3-2 overtime win against Patriot League rival Ursinus on Wednesday, September 27.

Ursinus opened the scoring when Allison Vasta scored with 8:35 left in the first half.

The Bison evened the score at 1-1 on a goal by junior Dena Ebert (West Long Branch, N.J./Shore Regional) with 32:40 left on the clock in the second half. Campbell earned the assist on the goal, her first helper of the year. Ursinus' Julie Lowell put the Bears back ahead with 27:09 left in the game, but Campbell notched the equalizer on a penalty stroke with 22:38 left in regulation.

The two teams headed into overtime with the score knotted at 2-2. Campbell capped her solid evening with the game-winning goal with 9:30 left in the extra session. Sophomore Amy Marvel (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock) earned the assist on the play.

Ursinus outshot Bucknell 17-12 and held a 9-8 advantage in penalty corners. Bucknell keeper Sonja Wettergreen (Norwalk, Conn./Brien McMahon) recorded 11 saves, while the Bears' Nicole Monatesti registered eight.

Bucknell improves to 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the Patriot League. The Orange and Blue host Lehigh in league action on Saturday, September 30, for a 1:00 p.m. game. Ursinus falls to 2-7 overall and 1-2 in the league.
