New Haven, Conn. - The Bucknell field hockey team incurred back-to-back losses for the first time this season with a 3-1 loss at Yale on Sunday afternoon. The Bison were coming off a 2-1 defeat at La Salle where the game remained tied 1-1 after a 70-minute regulation and two 15-minute overtime periods, only to lose in a penalty stroke shootout.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring less than seven minutes into the first half off a penalty corner shot by Meredith Hudson, and increased their lead to 2-0 with Jana Halfon's goal at 19:57 into the first half. Less than two minutes later, Yale completed its scoring with a goal by Fran Gardner.

The Bison kept the Bulldogs from scoring for the remaining 48:15 of the contest, but could only get one shot past Yale keeper Krissy Nesburg.
